Avoid the overdone kitschy scene on Halloween by creating a refined feather display. So simple to do! You’ll need:

a few feet of twine or string
some of your favorite patterned feathers
white feathers
some hot glue
gold spray paint
and two tacks

Using a thick piece of paper to mark where you want the gold to stop, spray the ends of the white feathers with gold paint. Allow to dry. Then, attach your feathers to the string with hot glue, alternating between patterned and white feathers. Again, allow to dry and voilà! Now you can hang as a garland across your mantel for a chic display this Fall.
